Ascension Cathedral is considered a major architectural ornament of Bobrinets. Built in 1898-1912. The construction was supervised by an architect J. Pauchenka.
Bobrynets town is located between Kirovograd and Nikolaev. Known since 1767 as a small zaporizzhya settlement. M. Kropyvnytski and Tobylevych lived and worked in Bobrynets in 1860 where they created an amateur theater group.
