Arboretum Oleksandriia

The Alexandria Dendrological Park of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine is located on the outskirts of Bila Tserkva, near the river Ros. The park is one of the largest parks in Ukraine and has a territory of 400 hectares. It was created more than 200 years ago by the family of the landowner, Count Francis Xavier Branicki, as an object of family pride and magnate magnum.

It is better to come to the park for the whole day, taking with you everything necessary for a picnic. The territory of the park "Alexandria" is 200 hectares and has about 2500 species of plants and trees. In the park you can admire the residence of the Branicki family – the founders of the park, as well as the Chinese bridge with a beautiful red roof and two Chinese figures at the entrance (Chinese sage and Chinese woman), walk around the pavilions "Rotonda", Colonnade, "Luna" and Ruins. Also in the park there are a lot of ponds and waterfalls. Ducks and swans are calmly swimming on the lakes. For the birds to live comfortably in the park, they built lovely houses. The famous river Ros flows through the park. It is possible to rent a boat in warm weather.
