State Museum Preserve of a famous Karpenko-Kary (Tobilevich) is a branch of Kirovohrad regional museum.Built on the estate, which belonged to an outstanding playwright, theatrical figure of the late XIX – early XX century Ivan Karpenko-Karyi (Tobilevych).
The estate was built in 1871 by Karp Tobilevych (the father of a famous writer) and named after his wife Nadia Tarkovska. Later I. Karpenko-Kary resided in the estate. Here he wrote 11 plays, 18 of which were included into the "golden fund" of national classical drama. Here he also wrote famous historical dramas "Sava Chaly", "Gandzya" and others.
