About the location

The Museum-estate is situated on a country side, where Mikhailo Grushevskyi, who later became the first President of Ukraine, had his villa before the First World War.

Unfortunately, the villa was not preserved – it was burned down in 1917. In 2003 the building was restored. The museum has presented biographical documents and photographs of Mikhailo Grushevskyi, ethnographic collection, household items of early twentieth century. The exposition is located in two rooms and introdices copies of different materials of the outstanding scientist, including documents and photographs, and his works as well. The Museum is a branch of the Ivano-Frankivsk regional Local History Museum.
