Hryhorii Skovoroda is the founder of Ukrainian philosophy, a poet, a teacher, enlightener of Ukraine of the XVIII century, the first Ukrainian fable, and yet – a musician, singer, composer, but most importantly – a true folk sage.
The museum dedicated to the life and work of Hryhorii Skovoroda was founded in the village of Skovorodinovka, Kharkiv region, in 1972. It is located in the house of the Kovalivsky landowners, built in the XVIII century as a garden pavilion. The first two rooms of the museum are devoted to the sculptor's biographies and works, and the third hall – in memory of the writer. The memorial room where Hryhorii Skovoroda lived and died is also open for visitors. An ancient park is located near the museum. The park has practically not changed since the time of Skovoroda, where you can see the monument to the philosopher made by I.P. Kavaleridze.
Interesting Facts:
– the well near the museum a 700-year-old oak and the first burial of the philosopher, his grave, are all still at the same places.

Чудове місце, місце сили. Провели тут увесь день. Велика та доглянута територія, багато затишних місць. Хочеться сюди повертатися кожної пори року, щоб бачити ці дуби та липи осінню, весною та навіть взимку.
Прекрасний комплекс: величезна доглянута територія, навіть у спекотний день дуже приємно знаходитись біля озера чи під однією з лип. Музей цікавий, є власні речі Сковороди, є речі, що дозволяють скласти загальне уявлення про тодішнє життя, дуже сподобались дзеркальні композиції. Замовляли оглядову екскурсію, після неї зручно самостійно гуляти комплексом, роздивлятись самостійно об'єкти, про які вже розповіла екскурсовод. Хочеться побажати процвітання та якомога більше гостей!
Можна чудово та з користю провести час. Місце не просто підтримується, а стає все кращим. Люди, що там працюють, "хворіють" своєю справою.
Це дуже гарне місце. По-перше, парк доглянутий, по друге, довкілля красиве. Та й над сенсом життя можна порозмірковувати.
