Monument to Grigory Skovoroda

The monument to Gregory Skovoroda, whose thinking image was given by architects and extremely realistically made, is set in the historic center of Kharkiv.

The monument to Grigory Skovoroda, a prominent Ukrainian philosopher, fabulist and poet, author of "Prayers for Kharkiv" and collections "Fables of Kharkiv", was set up in Kharkiv for a reason. Between 1759 and 1769, Gregory Savich lived here and taught at the Kharkiv Collegium, the first higher educational institution of the spiritual direction in the Left Bank of Ukraine.
