The monument to Taras Shevchenko is located in the park on T. Shevchenko boulevard
The author of the monument is the famous Ukrainian sculptor and cultural figure Ivan Kavaleridze, and the monument was erected in 1918, which makes it one of the first in the monumental Shevchenko district, at least exactly the first full-figural monument to Taras Shevchenko of all the times.
