Here it is, our rainbow! In fact, the "rainbow" is the popular name of the enormous Arch of Friendship, which was established here as a sign of friendship between Ukraine and Russia, in 1982, when Kyiv celebrated its 1500th anniversary. Among the people, the arch has several unofficial names: "Arc", "Bagel", "Monument to the cyclist".
There is also an awesome legend about this monument. According to the story, the structure actually has a round form. The lower part of the whole structure is hiding under the ground of the Dnipro slopes. And you can even get inside and take a ride around the circle. If you come closer and put the ear to the monument, you may even hear someone riding inside.
And, of course, the incredible landscape! From here you see the magnificent Dnipro, which is, by the way, the largest river in Ukraine, and the third one in Europe. A great white ship is shown over there, as if it was frozen into the bank of the Dnipro river. In fact, this is the construction of the River Station, which was on purpose built in the form of a ship, but maybe it also dreams of floating away one day? On the left, Prince Vladimir admires the city from the slopes, holding a large cross. It was he, who brought Christianity to Ukraine, more than a thousand years ago. Perhaps the Prince, who has been living on these slopes for over 150 years, could have tell us many stories happened to him, but he does not speak.

Неплохая смотровая площадка. Прогулявшись по Мариинскому парку удобно спуститься сюда, а потом на Крещатик. Есть несколько аттракционов и троллей на Труханов остров. Несколько точек фаст-фуда. Можно перекусить, отдохнуть и гулять дальше по центру. Переодически тут проводят интересные мероприятия: концерты, фестивали и т.д.
Еще одно прекрасное место в центре Киева с которого открывается превосходный вид на левый берег столицы. Всем гостям города рекомендую посетить это место и приятно провести время. Здесь часто проходят разные культурные мероприятия, продают очень вкусное мороженое. Сама арка очень красивая, но правда сейчас ходят слухи, что ее хотят демонтировать, так, что спешите))).
Отличное место, с прекрасным видом на Киев. Сама арка очень даже вписывается в данное место. Тут можно как просто посидеть в дружной компании, так и прийти семьёй. Около арки есть прекрасный парк, в котором можно просто посидеть и подышать свежим воздухом.
Для тех кто любит смотреть на Днепр с высоты - это одно из лучших мест в городе. Вид на город (Почтовая площадь, Подол, Мост "долгострой"), Труханов остров и величественный Днепр. Место очень популярно как среди туристов, так и местных. Где-то целуются парочки, где-то турист изучает карту и смотрит на город, тут студенты о чем то своем шумят, там сидят на лавочке и играют на гитаре и... И после себя люди оставляют мусор. Сама арка "прошла" испытания, то её перекрасят, то пытались убрать, то вандалы портят. А так ее видно с Левого берега, просто и со вкусом.
