Мore than a hundred years ago there was the Institute of noble Maidens located on Instytutska Street. Though, it didn’t stay here for a long time. But the building in which the girls used to study, have survived - if you look towards the Khreshchatyk street, it is visible from here, a large yellow-white building with white columns, now known as the October Palace. Instead of the institute, the International Center of Culture and Arts was organized here.

It was the concert of Nino Katamadze. The sound was perfect but because of the 'light show' sometimes it was impossible to look at the stage, unfortunately.
23 квітня 2018 року в Жовтневому провели закриття фінального етапу конкурсу-захисту Малої академії наук. Організація на високому рівні, але з певними промахами. Діти-переможці отримали місця, в той час як інші могли сісти де прийдеться. Проте в загальному зал, освітлення та звук справили позитивне враження.
Прекрасний і унікальний особняк Ковалевського, якого кияни називають "Арабский домик" або "Замок вздохов". Добротно відреставрований особняк. Нажаль,попасти туди дуже непросто, та ще й адміністрація не дозволяє фотографувати і в приміщеннях ні на подвір'ї.
